Staff was great!

Staff was great! They helped make a foreign place feel like home!

Wish they had more DIY self tour information. Most group activities were more on the leisurely side but I wanted to get a whole lot done because I was only there for a day and a half.

I loooved my stay at Lum, the staff was amazing and I...

I loooved my stay at Lum, the staff was amazing and I instantly felt like I was part of the alum family! I extended my stay to the double just because I loved my stay at Lum! The atmosphere is great and the common area was perfect for making new friends and chill out. There were activities everyday you could go on and free bikes, which was very appropriated!

This is an amazing hostel.

This is an amazing hostel. Big lockers in the rooms, individual lamp and usb for each bed. Very good air con in the rooms. Free water and coffee. Beautifully designed with roof terrace, chill area and good kitchen and bar. Also great activities organised every day. Free bikes too ( make sure the chain is oiled!!). It’s also around the corner from the bus station with really cool staff.

Liked the design of the hostel.

The staff did not know much about the city. For some it seemed that they did not care, when taking the guest on the tour it was the staff who arrived late.

Best stay!

Spacious dorms with comfortable beds, lockers and AC. It's a modern building located right in the center, walkable from ADO bus station. Relaxed vibe, a bar and sit/chill areas. Awesome stay!

It isn't a downside for me but you should realise there's no breakfast. There's a kitchen so you could cook/ prepare yourself.

Great hostel with great vibe

Great staff (volunteers and the owner are great!). Daily trips - great way to know the other guests. Lots of bathrooms/toilets for the amount of guests, and very comfortable as well. Comfortable beds with good privacy. Great location - in middle of town, near lots of restaurants, the ADO station (but not too close for it to get loud), near collectivos to many cenotes. Cute house dog ;)

The water pressure in the showers was a bit weak. It is more expensive than the other places in Tulum. The A/C doesn't cover the whole room equally - if you like more of it, get the lower beds or the upper bed next to the A/C. Otherwise, take the upper beds far away (seen lots of complaints about the A/C being too cold). Far from the beach (however it is not recommended to go there now).

Everything! The hostel was everything you could want in a hostel: it was clean, air-conditioned, had a social area conducive to meeting people as a solo traveller, fantastic staff (yea you guys), and more nearby taco choices than days in the week. I ended up extending my stay day-by-day for more than a week and would do it again in a heartbeat

Excellent Hostel with The Utmost Accommodating Staff!

I liked that the bar was at the front of the property immediately after the check in counter which enabled all newcomers / solo travellers like myself to meet the other guests and be welcomed by everyone. It was a very nice community there as we spent the night socialising and playing games then finished the night off with some street tacos! Shame I only stayed one night as I had met some pretty awesome people there!! I also appreciated the large mirrors by the bathrooms that catered very much to the guests who wanted an outfit check as well as the bamboo ladder things outside each room for us to hang our wet towels and swimsuits. Smart thinking as it’s functional and it adds to the decor of the place! I left my hat at the hostel and the hostel was SUPER helpful when I called them to ask them if they could run it to the ADO bus station and they did!!! I hadn’t known that I was going through the Tulum bus station and when I realised, I quickly gave them a call and as the bus pulled in, there David was with my wondrous hat!! So THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS!!

The bed base had plywood in it so every move you make has a sound but was no issue as everyone was sleeping soundly from their daily adventures.

Loved the staff, my bed, the shared kitchen, the location and the people are met were all ages!

The hostel was perfect but my expectations from Bookings.com was incorrect! It was meant to be a non-smoking hostel and there’s smoking in certain sections, it was meant to have 9pm quiet time and it was actually 11pm, I paid for an all female dorm and they don’t have those. They said not to book w Bookings.com as it’s out of date, instead book w Hostelworld.com

The smoking areas could have been more enforced! But it’s managable

AMAZING hostel.

AMAZING hostel. Very clean, secure, great vibe, friendly staff, group activities, comfy beds, great kitchens, Netflix.... the list could go on. Just stay here you’ll see . I’d definitely recommend and stay again!

Me gustó solamente por su ubicación y por qué tenía aire acondicionado

El ruido, la gente no respeta entra a la hora que sea y hace ruido como si estuvieras solos en los cuartos, entiendo que es un cuarto con literas para compartir pero no hay mínimo respeto por la gente que se encuentra descansando

Ubicación ideal. Bici incluida para ir a principales lugares de Tulum y 100% staff super amables.

La atención del staff es buenísima. Siempre con una disposición a ayudarte a encontrar lugares increibles y demás! La ubicación es ideal si quieren estar en el centro de Tulum. A solo dos cuadras de la terminal.

Quizá enfatizaría un poco más en la limpieza de los baños, pero la verdad que todo estuvo muy bien en terminos del servicio que me dieron.

El hostel estuvo bien. Linda terraza, cocina con toda la vajilla. Tiene un barcito propio, no lo usé la verdad.

Es para gente de habla inglesa, o quizás solo tuve mala suerte y no había un solo latino. No dan desayunos, caro en relación a los servicios.

Un ambiente para compartir y hacer amigos!!

Me encantó en general el clima del hostel. Hay muchos jóvenes y los chicos que trabajan son muy agradables. Son geniales las actividades que proponen (excursiones a las ruinas, ir a comer hamburguesas y tomar una cerveza en la playa) te dan la posibilidad de conocer personas y pasar un rato agradable. Los espacios comunes cocina y lugar de estar estaban en muy buen estado y eran muy bonitos. La cocina con su dispenser de agua, con casilleros para tus cosas, amplia y bien equipada. Incluso hay un living con Netflix. Me encantó que ofrezcan el servicio de bicicletas. Si bien la playa esta lejos, esto permite ir a cualquier lado y de paso te das un buen paseo en bici. Hay suficientes bicicletas. La limpieza en general esta muy bien. La temperatura del agua del baño excelente.

La señal del wifi no era buena. Nos quedamos sin wifi las dos tardes que estuvimos. Las camas de las habitaciones están dispuestas como en casilleros, que se aprecian bien en las fotos, en los cuales hay mucha humedad. No me pude ni tapar con la colcha de lo húmeda que la sentía. Sin embargo pasamos una muy buena estadía

No está mal para una corta estancia pero no regresaría

La distancia, muy cerca de la estación de autobuses ADO y del Centro de Tulum.

No me gustó que las camas no tenían tipo cortina y la verdad es que con el concepto de paredes de madera en la cama me sentí dentro de una caja de zapatos... la coladera del baño que me tocó se tapaba y eso me dio un poco de asco. El personal era muy amable.
